Seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join our team of professionals and support our Packaged Meats division.
Essential Functions: Support division and site safety, quality, productivity, environmental and cost reduction goals.
Work with external divisions and Packaged Meats departments to understand the overall Packaged Meats manufacturing process.
Prepare, update and distribute weekly, monthly and quarterly divisional reports, using Excel and SAP and checking data for accuracy and reliability.
This process may include the collection, recording and displaying of data in various formats such as charts and graphs.
Prepare and distribute divisional communications such as meeting minutes and monthly safety newsletters.
Utilize lean manufacturing concepts such as 5S, to identify and implement cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
Assist department managers with projects as needed including but not limited to informational and safety posters, meeting preparations, celebratory lunches/dinners, etc.
Receive, sort, and route Packaged Meats division’s incoming and outgoing mail.
Maintain and order supplies for the Packaged Meats division.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Associate’s Degree (preferably in Business or related field of study) and 2 - 3 years of administrative support experience and/or training are required for this position. Food or manufacturing industry experience ideal.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint. SAP and AS400 software experience a plus.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize daily work assignments, meet deadlines and manage time wisely with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong mathematical and organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preference will be given to candidates with LEAN Manufacturing, Sigma 6, 4 Disciplines of Execution experience.
This is a full-time non-exempt position; all applicants should be willing to work 40 - 50 hours per work week and an occasional Saturday.
