Supports projects, initiatives, and activities that impact an academic or administrative department.
Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information.
Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.
Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.
Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.
Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.
May supervise office staff and student workers.
Performs related duties as assigned.
CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Reporting to the Office of Academic Affairs, the Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for the following, in addition to the general duties listed:
Providing assistance to the provost/senior vice president and academic deans as it relates to working with academic and support service departments (e.g. Registrar's Office, Library, Academic Advisement, Testing, Partnerships, learning Resources Center, etc.).
Assisting in preparing key presentations for conferences and monthly/annual reports (including data-driven analytical reports, etc).
Working with the office of Public Relations to develop an Office of Academic Affairs Web site and to maintain, update and enhance the site content as academic initiatives and activities change.
Assisting in updating curriculum, programmatic and policy information for distribution to academic departments and support services areas.
Assisting in creating information/policy manuals or handbooks for faculty and staff use.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Two years of full time experience with one year in higher education preferred
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Knowledge of web page design and maintenance
Strong analytical and computer skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects
