The Administrative Coordinator will provide a variety of administrative and staff support services to an organizational assignment by administering programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the assigned area of responsibility.

Coordinate meetings and conference rooms for team meetings

Copy materials/report packages for team visits

Assist with faxing & coordinating any follow-up actions per leader's request

Assist teams with securing supplies and tools to do the daily operational activities

Coordinate communication with all departments & collaborate with department Coordinators for business needs

Set-up new hire work-at-home equipment

Communicate via telephone and in person to internal and external customers to provide guidance

Maintain office files and other records as appropriate

Compose letters, memos and additional correspondences

Compile reports and meeting minutes

Schedule appointments for provider office visits and document in reporting application

Make travel arrangements

Administrative Services Knowledge: You understand methodologies and processes for coordinating and providing office administrative, clerical and support services, not specific to a particular business discipline.

Implementation/Execution: You are good at organizing and managing multiple priorities and/or projects by using appropriate methodologies and tools.

Communication: You actively listen to others to understand their perspective and ensure continuous understanding regardless of communication channel or audience.

Problem Solving: You are a problem solver with the ability to encourage others in collaborative problem solving. You can be a broker and consultant regarding resources. You engage people in problem solving without taking over.


Role Essentials

Previous administrative or related experience

Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multi-task

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Programs - Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Professional phone etiquette

Capacity to maintain confidentiality and work independently in support of the department

High School Diploma to be employed at Humana

Role Desirables

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred

Healthcare experience

Reporting Relationships

This role will support the Operations Director.
