Manage reliable staff of lab assistants, maintain computer lab and Academic Resource Center (ARC) resources, and conduct evaluations/observations of ARC student workers. Conduct daily computer skills workshops for adult students and monthly documentation style workshops. Serve as a daily point of contact for professional tutors, update Regional Academic Center ARC schedules, and develop strong working relationship with professional tutors as well as student workers. Track student utilization of ARC services and produce administrative projections and reports for all ARC services. Administer technical, payroll, and other business affairs of the ARC.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college and one year of administrative office experience, to include bookkeeping and customer service, or equivalent combination of education and related experience is required. Previous experience in an academic environment working with students is desirable. Must be able to competently administer database applications and produce statistical charts and reports in Microsoft Excel. Successful candidate must be organized, service oriented, possess creative problem solving skills and have the ability to work independently. Ability to interact positively and communicate effectively with a diverse population of students, staff and faculty is essential. Selection of the final candidate is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal and background check.
