Under general direction, provides administrative leadership and oversight for the Adult Liquid Tumor and Bone Marrow Transplant programs.
Provides administrative leadership and oversight for the Adult Liquid Tumor and Bone Marrow Transplant programs. Works collaboratively with the OUMC Adult Nursing and Surgical Services teams as well as Stephenson Cancer Center leadership and clinicians to coordinate clinical and research strategies and practices. Ensures that all aspects of services are coordinated to produce quality patient care and to attain maximum utilization of staff time and resources. Responsible for transplant program strategic planning, goal setting and business development. Initiates and oversees quality improvement activities. Ensures full, on-going compliance with all regulatory and accreditation agencies with emphasis on FACT (Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy) accreditation.
Bachelor's Degree. BSN preferred.
Experience in Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant or other oncology/research field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical abilities. Interpersonal skills to successfully interact at all levels across a continuum of care. Detail oriented and well organized. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation):
Work is primarily sedentary and may require long periods of sitting. Must be able to lift, push, bend, crouch, kneel, twist and reach above head on occasion. May require lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times.
