  • Under the direction of the Cardiovascular Center (CVC) Executive Team, this role is responsible for driving improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of cardiovascular operations. He/she provides operational and financial leadership in partnership with physician, nursing, other clinical and administrative colleagues with direct, shared responsibility for the following areas: Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab, Vascular Lab, Heart Station, and Telephonic Monitoring.


    As part of the CVC leadership team, helps develop operational and financial targets for the CVC, and takes a lead role in developing and implementing the business and operational plans to achieve them.

    Works closely with colleagues in Information Systems, Facilities, HIM, Finance and other Department: s to develop an operational and financial infrastructure that supports the clinical enterprise, and serves as the project manager for specific CVC efforts.

    Manages the operating and capital budget processes for the CVC, ensuring the development of robust projections and managing communication and analysis around performance throughout he year.


    Excellent analytical skills to interpret data; develop, implement and evaluate systems, policies, procedures, budget, etc. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively at all levels within and outside Tufts Medical Center.

    Masters degree in Business Administration or Health Care Management.

    Seven to ten years of progressive management growth in the healthcare industry with at least three to five years experience managing people. Experience in cardiovascular services preferred.
