Manage the administrative operations of the Office of the Assistant Dean and work closely with the Director of Academic Affairs to support academic affairs projects. Assist in collecting and verifying data for accreditations and academic program review, and support the evaluation and promotion of new courses and programs. Draft correspondence and reports. Collect benchmarking and other comparative data from peer universities and schools to inform new course and new program development. Maintain course database and ensure accuracy of school bulletin and academic program information on school web site.
Supervise office operations and staff; assist in developing and administering annual budget for the Office of the Assistant Dean; prioritize Assistant Dean's calendar; screen mail and requests for appointments. Manage student-worker hiring, payroll and scheduling.
4 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience overseeing operations and staff, planning and implementing activities and events, and administering budgets.
Experience in supporting academic affairs preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Excellent planning, organizational, and problem solving skills. Ability to develop, implement and interpret policies and procedures and communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to a diverse population. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
