We currently have a contract Full Time opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant with administrative experience.

Job Duties

Perform and record vital signs, height, weight and anthropometric measurements. Order, obtain, and record specimens and other laboratory tests required to complete the physical examination.
Identify, interpret and apply medical standards on all examinations including HIPPA standards
Maintain regulatory documents, source documents, charts and patient files.
Responsible for entering charge and diagnosis codes into billing system, some verification of patient insurance coverage, scheduling patient appointments, collecting co-pays and percentages, making deposits, recording and reporting billing and financial data, ordering and maintaining supplies, filing and maintaining patient records, assisting receptionist with answering and routing phone calls and taking messages, and is cross trained to perform receptionist duties when needed. Works closely with Accounting, Medical Records, Billing Office or Service, patients, and physicians' office staff. Participates in performance improvement activities.
