The Administrative Operations Assistant provides support to the department of Air Transportation Services (ATS) and serves as the department back-up for the ATS Administrative Coordinator. Specific responsibilities include managing travel arrangements and reimbursements, scheduling appointments for the director, screening telephone calls, greeting visitors to the department, and assisting with aircraft scheduling/dispatching.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining schedules and calendars, and performing administrative processes. - Experience using current office software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. - Demonstrated professionalism in working with confidential and sensitive matters with the utmost discretion and tact. - Ability to prepare error-free documentation and correspondence in a professional and timely manner. - Ability to interpret and apply university policies and procedures. - Ability to take initiative in fulfilling responsibilities and anticipating the needs of customers. - Ability to interact effectively and comfortably with people from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with aircraft scheduling and dispatch, including Flight Operations System. - Working knowledge of air traffic communications and air traffic procedures. - Working knowledge of university organizational structure, policies and procedures.
