The Process Equipment Group is a recognized leader in the design, production, marketing and servicing of equipment and systems used in processing applications for a wide range of industrial markets. Its three operating companies are K-Tron, which focuses primarily on feeding and pneumatic conveying equipment; Rotex, a manufacturer of separation equipment, including gyratory and vibratory screeners and sifters; and TerraSource Global, which makes size reduction equipment, conveying systems and screening equipment, operating under three brands: Pennsylvania Crusher, Gundlach and Jeffrey Rader. In December, 2012, Hillenbrand acquired Coperion, a global leader in the manufacture of compounding, extrusion and bulk material handling equipment used in a broad range of industries, including plastics, chemical, food processing, pharmaceutical and aluminum, as well as related replacement parts and service.

Position Summary

The Administrative Project Specialist provides professional support to two Vice Presidents, implementing and maintaining various complex programs, projects and/or activities. They will identify solutions and alternatives within established policies requiring analytical thought.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following.

Provides direct administrative support by preparing or directing the preparation of correspondence, presentations, agendas, and materials including for reproduction and distribution; maintains calendars, schedules and plans events and meetings.

Researches and evaluates special projects involving independently collecting compiling information from a variety of sources, analyzing results and preparing final recommendations.

Coordinate meetings and special events for the organization, including amenities, accommodations, and event logistics

Work on special projects as needed (i.e., Quarterly Earnings reports, BOD presentations, Department Functions, etc).

Positively interact and communicate with all levels of the organization and all levels of our customers' organization as well

Other Duties

Promptly & courteously answer phones/inquiries, screen calls, take messages as appropriate, or trouble-shoot the call and either handle the request of the caller or direct caller to appropriate contact.

Schedule and coordinate Executives' travel arrangements- flights, hotel, ground transportation, customer events.

Handle all requests professionally & appropriately; coordinate calls and/or appointments.

Open, sort, and organize mail, mailings, and other correspondence; respond to mail/correspondence when appropriate.

Screen visitors and "walk-ups".

Effectively work with other Executive Assistants to provide a cohesive environment

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Summary

The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as leadership qualities developed and honed throughout their education and experience. They will have some degree of creativity that can be called upon when designing and evaluating communications, presentations, special events, and complex situations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from an accredited college or university; or one (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in leadership, project management, and/or customer service.

Basic Microsoft Office (primarily PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)

Preferred Skills

Research, presentation, event planning, strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
