This position involves greeting students, assisting clients in completing various Financial Aid forms, monitoring receipt of necessary paperwork from various constituencies, and responding to inquiries about the awarding process. Routine duties include filing, receptionist duties, answering and directing incoming telephone calls to appropriate personnel, and imaging incoming documents. Will perform additional duties as assigned.
Associate’s Degree required in Office Systems Technology or a similar field.
Minimum of 2 years work experience preferably in an educational setting that involves working directly with students, preferably in Financial Aid.
Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. Must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with high walk-in and phone traffic during peak periods. Computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel are necessary; experience using Colleague software is desirable. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and be sensitive to and supportive of the diverse population served by the college.
