This position is located in the Information and Technology Branch in the Division of Workforce Solutions, and is responsible for providing a full range of support services to the IT manager and his staff. Job duties include facilitating workflow through a dynamic work unit, tracking IT orders, maintain a record of inventory to computers and other peripherals, tracking domain registration, and software licensure, establishing data file systems, and reconciles and manipulates data for management reports. Additionally, this position is responsible for composing written communication with guidance or using standard formats, and for contacting service recipients, vendors, or clients to provide or obtain information. Will also schedule and coordinates appointments, meetings and events and perform general office administrative tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
This position requires a c onsiderable knowledge of office practices, techniques, and technology; ability to integrate MS Office Product software to include WORD, MS ACCESS and EXCEL to r ecords, compile and summarize data using established format, and reconcile and manipulate data for management reports from different internal and external sources, manage records, organize files; draft and compose written communications using correct grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and terminology. Also requires the abilities to interpret technical documentation; program policies; rules, regulations, and procedures, answer inquiries and provide simply instructions (both orally and in writing) to organizational personnel, other agency's personnel, and the general public in a clear and concise manner; ability to analyze problem areas of work and recommend solutions to supervisor; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and other members of the organization.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Completion of high school and three years of related experience; or graduation from a two-year secretarial science or business administration program with courses in secretarial techniques and practices and two years of related work experience; or graduation from a four-year college or university, preferably with major emphasis on business administration or a related field and two years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience Preferences : Management prefers applicants who have prior experience using MS Access Databases to create reports or forms.
