This position is located in the Office of Minority Health (OMH) at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in Baltimore (Woodlawn), MD. KEY REQUIREMENTS

In this position you will serve as an Administrative Specialist. Specifically, you will:
Provide direct support to the Group Directors, monitor and report on the status and condition of projects of major importance to the Group Directors.
Interpret OMH, CMS and Departmental executive policies and procedures for Group Directors and group staff.
Identify problems and recommend new and revised procedures and policies affecting workflow, correspondence or other administrative support functions, i.e., timekeeping, travel, telecommunications,etc.
Determine the need for meetings involving the Group Directors and staff, decides which staff members need to attend, and indicate what information should be prepared or available for meetings.
Refer highly technical or sensitive issues and inquiries to senior leadership from Congressional staff, outside firms, HHS, the White House and OMB.
Ensure that operational processes and procedures are developed and implemented related to scheduling of the Group Directors calendar, including their attendance at conferences, planning for trips, proper reporting to the Administrator's Office, cross-component scheduling, etc. Document those processes and procedures to ensure availability and understanding for those individuals that may need to assist the Group Directors.

For the GS-12 Grade Level: Specialized experience is defined as one (1) year (52 weeks) of specialized experience (equivalent to the grade 11 level in the Federal service) which includes: gathering information, identifying and analyzing issues and developing recommendations to resolve substantial problems with operational effectiveness in an administrative support setting.
