Duties & Responsibilities: Under general supervision, the Administrative Specialist oversees all administrative work for the operation of the front desk at the Professional Licensing Board - Macon Office. The incumbent must demonstrate excellent customer service and oral communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of departmental personnel and outside customers. Position requires the ability to manage multiple duties/tasks simultaneously. This position requires a high degree of dependability to ensure coverage and consistent scheduling. Receives telephone calls for a work unit, provides requested information, and/or forwards callers to appropriate locations or individuals. Greets office visitors, determines the nature of their business, and provides appropriate information or directs visitors to other personnel as needed.

Minimum Training & Experience: Two years of experience performing clerical tasks or providing customer service

Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.1 year of experience as a receptionist or general office work or one (1) to (2) years of business school or college from a nationally accredited college or institution. Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
