Provide administrative support to Group managers and staff working at the Colorado Springs and Dayton, OH sites. Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, managing room and management calendars, arranging staff and management travel, ordering department supplies and equipment, preparing various reports, letters, memos and briefings. Other responsibilities include managing time card entries, copying, faxing, telephone coverage, maintaining department files and processing various MITRE forms. Provide backup coverage for the site receptionist as called upon.
High school diploma or equivalent, plus 3 years of experience.
Candidates should have a minimum of a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred) with several years of administrative experience. Familiarity with MITRE Policies and Procedures and experience working at a MITRE site are highly desired.
Moderate to extensive expertise using Microsoft office products. Microsoft Outlook calendaring is essential. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and operate in a highly dynamic environment is a must. Strong communication and organization skills are required. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work in a dynamic environment with little supervision while possessing the confidence and knowledge to effectively reprioritize tasks as necessary. The candidate must have excellent phone skills, and be willing to work in a team environment supporting department staff and, when called upon, site activities and admin needs.
Experience with technical writing is a plus as is experience working effectively with other administrative staff.
