Our client is a large Energy Company located in Downtown Houston. They are seeking a fantastic Administrative Support professional to work in their Business Account Management and Care department. This department is not a mass call center, but a professional customer service environment. Each Account Manager is a dedicated representative to a defined portfolio of customers, and this individual will be supporting an Account Manager on this team.

Essential Job Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):

• Answering the toll-free line (typically ten calls or less will be received by each rep)

• The candidate will be taught The Company’s contract amendment process and will be responsible for interacting with the customer from the initial request to the successful energizing or the deactivation of the meter

• Typing up correspondence

• Transcribe dictation and/or hard copy documents

• Screen/direct internal and external phone calls

• Upload data into computer system

• Filing of documents

• Assist as needed with backup of other department or Account Manager support when other Admins are out


• Customer Care related experience is required

• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in either Communications, Marketing or Public Relations (or a related field)

• Team-oriented attitude is a MUST

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required

• Knowledge of Siebel and SAP a plus, but not required

• Excellent customer service skills

• Excellent sense of humor, and ability to thrive in a team environment

• Excellent communication skills, but verbal and written

• Ability to work a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, non-negotiable
