Serves as a key member of the Department of Medicine management team and is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, practice support staff and graduate medical education for this department. Clinical operations management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, oversight of front-end billing and collections, human resources-related activities for practice support staff, implementation of hospital-wide policies and procedures, establishment of departmental policies and goals to achieve objectives, program and staff development, clinical operations financial management, facilities management, and overall coordination of clinical ambulatory services for the above-named division. Graduate Medical Education management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all policies of the American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in healthcare management or administration. Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in managing a healthcare office.
- Must be able to work well and communicate with people on all levels.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must have knowledge of human resources management and financial analysis skills.
- Knowledge of managed care insurance regulations preferred.
