Administrator, Network Operations

The qualified candidate will engage in daily technical and operational tasks and assist in long-term projects that will be assigned with delivery dates. Research and recommendations will be limited to well-defined components of assigned Business Plan initiatives. The candidate will work in the specialization of desktop services, operating systems, PC network connectivity, and applications.

DUTIES

Sample of job duties:
  • Research and document findings of assigned components of new technologies
  • Complete assigned task(s) in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner so that implementation of new enhanced technologies will not be delayed
  • Monitor file servers, network operating systems, network connectivity, and applications regularly for performance issues
  • Configuration responsibilities will be limited to approved changes if the change impacts a system-wide user base
  • Install network related hardware and software updates as they become available
  • Conduct thorough testing to prevent implementing problematic file server hardware, operating system patches, network components, and network application patches
QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:
  • Three years of relevant technology experience
  • A degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
  • Familiarity with networked/distributed computing environments
