Work Schedule
Monday - Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Job Function
Primary responsibility is to review, compile and respond to Open Records Requests and Freedom of Information Act Requests. Position will also serve as a staff attorney and may make occasional court appearances on behalf of the Collections Department and perform other legal tasks as assigned. Duties will include research and legal analysis. Must also work with Public Affairs and external media. Must have excellent people skills.

Department Preferences
0 - 4 years experience.

Experience with administrative agencies a plus; prior experience with the University of Oklahoma or other higher education institution a plus; prior experience with collegiate athletics departments a plus.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to engage in repetitive motions; grasp objects with fingers or hands; speak, including expressing oneself or exchanging information with others; see, including color, depth perception and clarity. Must be able to handle urgent deadlines.

Required Education and Experience:
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited university. Admitted to practice law in the State of Oklahoma or eligible for immediate admission.

Required Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses:
These requirements may be imposed by federal, state or recognized accrediting agency as a prerequisite of employment
Valid driver's license.
