The Administrator of Lakeland Specialty Hospital has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for direction and leadership for Lakeland Specialty Hospital at Berrien Center. Responsible for providing strategic planning for developing, implementing, analyzing assigned responsibilities. Maintains responsibility for operational leadership. Directs the activities of management, professional, technical and clerical personnel. Organizes administrative activities that involve strategic planning, new programs productivity to ensure high quality cost-effective care is provided at Hospital. Responsible for the daily operations of Long Term Acute Care and Long Term Care including determining the types and numbers of nursing personnel and staff necessary to provide nursing care for assigned areas of the Hospital.
Bachelors degree from an accredited school of Business or a health related field required. Masters degree from an accredited school of Business or Healthcare Administration preferred . Must be licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in the State of Michigan. Five years of experience in the health care setting with demonstrated, creative and innovated clinical and business leadership ability required. Five years of progressive management experience required. A broad knowledge of healthcare management, regulatory requirements, clinical systems with a basic understanding of computer software applications, statistics and continuous quality improvement process. Must have competent experience and knowledge of utilization management, discharge planning and third party payer reimbursements.
