Background:
P3I Inc. is searching for an administrator to support and join our team in Newport, RI.
The administrator's prominent quality will be the ability to interact professionally and courteously with our customers and to maintain a constant focus on customer service. The successful candidate will have excellent computer skills; a thorough understanding of the MS Office Suite products (Word, Powerpoint and Excel) is critical. The successful candidate will also have excellent writing, organizational and communication skills. Successful candidate will use these skills to provide timely and efficient administrative, clerical and logistical services and products, including, but not limited to: reports, registrations, documents, and correspondence. Working professionally and cooperating within a team environment is a must.
Position Description and duties will include: Preparing standard written correspondence to students in support of programs, such as enrollment letters, disenrollment letters, and graduation letters. Enrolling students in programs, and creating and maintaining individual student records in the computer database and in paper files. Processing tests and recording grades using appropriate software system; distributing essay questions to students as provided by faculty; returning graded essays to students and recording grades. Preparing reports of statistical data concerning student activity and academic material inventory, shipping destinations/frequency, and printing reproduction requests. Answering and/or directing incoming requests for program information. Account for incoming and outgoing student course materials (books and locally printed matter) using software based inventory management system and other handheld computer or scanning devices. Collating organizational and student academic materials in accordance with provided course checklists in preparation for shipping to various destinations worldwide.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service focus coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and thorough understanding of all MS Office Suite products is critical.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • Ability to lift and carry items that weigh up to 40 pounds. [Heavier and bulky items are moved with appropriate equipment or with assistance from other employees.]
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
