The Administrative Assistant provides critical support for Office of Off-Campus Study & Exchanges. The AA coordinates the application process for students studying off campus; provides advising for academic, off-campus programs; independently manages the OCSE student record database in Access and Banner; coordinates students' program materials; updates and maintains website pages; supervises student assistants; and manages daily office operations and provides general office support. The AA works closely with students, faculty, parents, and staff on and off campus and overseas. The AA's work is very time sensitive and deadline driven and requires a great deal of troubleshooting and use of good judgment to recommend solutions. The AA works independently the majority of the time.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and/or Training: Associates degree or equivalent work experience in a related field, preferably administration or business. A minimum of three years' experience in complex administrative work, preferably in a college setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience organizing complex information systems; proven strength in organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Must be detail oriented, be able to manage several projects simultaneously and work independently. Proficiency with Access and experience with Banner preferred. Experience in advising students strongly preferred. High energy position that requires a high level of professionalism, flexibility, patience, diplomacy, respect, humor and cultural sensitivity when handling various people and situations.

Pay Range:
$14.76 - $15.50 per hour commensurate with experience
