Responsible for recruitment of prospective students for The Culinary Institute of America through a high level of communication using a variety of methods, recruitment travel, events both on and off-campus, and admissions presentations to diverse groups of constituents.

• Manage the recruitment of prospective students within the territory with a strong emphasis on all degree programs offered
• Evaluate key feeder reports, enrollment reports, and other information to determine which high school culinary programs in territory to target for recruitment
• Take complete ownership of creating summer/fall and winter/spring recruitment plans including school visits, college fairs, receptions and other events
• If CIA Graduate, conduct culinary demonstrations for prospective student groups both on and off campus
• Develop weekly trip and event schedules from the seasonal recruitment plan. Communicate, negotiate and schedule programs with teachers, fair organizers and venues
• Communicate with contact lists for targeted recruitment needs
• Communicate with prospective students (through telemarketing, email, online chat, and other types of personalized communication) to guide and manage their advance through the admissions 'funnel' process
• Communicate prospective student issues and needs with internal support groups (enrollment processing, financial aid etc.) to engage these resources in their resolution
• Communicate with admitted students to encourage their enrollment and determine if they need the support of other CIA departments
• Execute the seasonal recruitment plan. Adjust elements and schedules to address issues as they occur while maintaining overall plan effectiveness
• Review applicants when their files are completed to determine whether they should be admitted to the college
• For applicants who present unusual and/or legal issues, consult with the Director of Admissions to determine the final admissions decision
• Manage operational office and recruitment expenses to approved budget.
• Prepare and submit weekly reports on status of accomplishments versus plan and focused list of prospects
• Submit charge-off sheets and expense reports on a timely basis
• Bachelor's degree is required
• Experience in public speaking required
Licenses / Certifications:
• Driver's License required
• 1 - 3 years of professional experience, preferably in the field of Admissions
• CIA Graduate preferred
• Ability to travel, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point, ability to use text messaging, online chat, and a variety of internet-based specialized software programs
• Office-based conditions, ability to lift and carry admissions materials when conducting CIA travel
