The Admissions Representative role is an entry-level position within the EDMC Online Higher Education admissions job family. After completing an extensive admissions training program, Admissions Representatives engage potential students in conversation regarding their interest and plans to continue their education, determining their fit and eligibility into programs, accompanying the potential student on a virtual online tour, introducing them to the online campus and classroom and guiding them through the enrollment process which includes; application, securing transcripts, financial aid and academic acceptance.
The main goal of the position is to successfully enroll students into a desired online degree program, ensuring they are successfully transitioned into the classroom while working interdepartmentally to provide potential students with a great experience throughout the enrollment process and classroom orientation. Admissions Representatives make hundreds of phone calls daily to contact prospective students and assist them with enrollment. A caring, persistent, persuasive, goal oriented and self directed nature is essential to being successful in the role, as well as a desire to accumulate additional knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis to remain well versed in program offerings, recruitment techniques, policies and procedures.

Conduct interviews with potential students and qualify them for enrollment into an online degree program
Accurately communicate educational programs, expected outcomes, student services, and financial consideration to potential students
Consistently conduct follow-up conversations with all applicants to ensure successful matriculation
Meet weekly enrollment and start rate goals while conducting all recruitment activities in accordance with state and federal accreditation and institute policies and regulations consistent with the highest ethical standards
Assist other personnel and departments with data collection and problem solving
Secure new inquiries (Personally Developed Referrals)
Participate in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities
Conduct all activities in accordance with the highest ethical standards
Passion for education and desire to help others achieve their educational goals
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Confident, upbeat personality
Ability to work independently and make decisions based on specific guidelines
Desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Previous experience in admissions, counseling, customer service or sales
Basic Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer knowledge
Moderate typing/keyboarding skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred
