Identifies and refers documents containing highly confidential, personal, or sensitive information to the Director.
Initiates and responds to inquiries from academic departments, parents, staff, and students that are complex and/or require research or independent judgment.
Participates with the Director, Associate Directors, Assistant Directors, and other Team Leaders on the development and implementation of unit procedures such as the processing and assessment of applications, academic credentials, and supporting materials for admissibility received from all undergraduates seeking admission to the University.
Makes complex, comprehensive admission decisions. Manages referrals to academic departments and ensures that decisions meet department admission criteria.
Performs other assigned duties that are within the area of knowledge and skills required by the job description.
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience):
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Administration or related field. A Master's degree in Higher Education or related field is preferred. This position requires a minimum of three to five years of experience in areas associated to Higher Education and management. Knowledge of enrollment and registration processes and use of Banner/OASIS is required. Knowledge of USF, state and federal policies regarding undergraduate admissions is necessary. Work experience in an academic environment, the use of a personal computer with multiple software applications, supervisory experience in an office setting and experience working with college-bound students and parents is also required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
