Abut this opportunity:
The Administrative Clerk is responsible for greeting clients in a courteous and efficient manner when they present to the front office or contact the clinic by telephone. He /she will complete intake forms and conduct client telephone screenings as instructed by the Director or Supervisor. The Administrative Clerk also is responsible for data entry into the MIS system, answering telephones, scheduling patient appointments, faxing materials, and other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements:
A minimum of one year front office experience in a medical or mental health clinic. High school diploma is required. Bilingual in Spanish/English languarge skills required.

Skills and Abilities:
Ability to speak on a one-to-one basis with individuals from a variety of socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds and at various organizational levels, using appropriate vocabulary and grammar in order to obtain and convey information. Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with individuals from a variety of socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds and at various organizational levels. Skill in communicating with emotionally stressed individuals in a clear, tactful, and supportive manner. Ability to work with frequent interruptions while maintaining positive working relationship with staff and clients. Skill in working independently and in following through on assignments. Skill in setting priorities that accurately reflects the relative importance and urgency of various and potentially conflicting job responsibilities and assignments. Skill in operating a personal computer and in using word processing software. Skill in editing written materials to ensure correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Skill in performing basic arithmetic calculations. Skill in organizing materials and information in a systematic way in order to optimize office efficiency. Skill in maintaining filing systems. Basic ability to operate photocopiers, telephone system, FAX machines, and other general office equipment.
