Job Summary
The Advanced EMT is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care. The Advanced EMT is responsible to the Team Leader and Medical Director
Qualifications
Graduate of an EMT-Basic/Advanced program and currently registered with the Department of Homeland Security
CPR certified
EVOC certified preferred
Job Knowledge
Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
Meets the communication needs of patient and family
Provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the direction of a medical director
Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system
Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
Training and Experience
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and ability in personnel management, policies, and committee activities
Ability to collaborate with co-workers and medical staff in day-to-day environment to establish coordinated department function and program development
