We are currently searching for a Full
Time Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our established team.
Nurse Practitioner manages the primary psychiatric and health care of
patients of all ages. The ANP formulates and records ongoing
assessment of patients’ medical, physical, and psychosocial
status throughout the course of treatment.
This position requires both a current Alaska RN and
ANP license with prescriptive authority along with a Masters Degree
or higher in Nursing with specialization in psychiatric nursing.
Current certification as an ANP by a national certifying body is
acceptable to the State of Alaska Board of Nursing. We will require
documentation of the number of CME’s necessary to maintain
licensure or at least 30 contact hours during the previous two (2)
years for new appointments. The ideal candidate will be able to
demonstrate provision of inpatient, residential, or outpatient
services within the core privileges for at least 30 patients during
the past 24 months, or must demonstrate the competence through
concurrent proctoring by a physician with pediatric or family
practice privileges at Good Samaritan Counseling Center.
