POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The AE Representative will work in a cross-functional capacity to support Herbalife's Adverse Event Reporting System. The AE Representative will be responsible for collecting, organizing and submitting adverse events received primarily by phone. The AE Rep will also be responsible for entering global Adverse Event data into Quality and Safety databases for the purpose of ongoing signal detection and data analyses.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
  • Enter AE cases into the Argus Safety database using case report data from various sources including the SQL AER System.
  • Enter Product/Quality Events into Agile – Oracle based product lifecycle database (region specificity to be determined)
  • Interact with other internal systems to facilitate the management of product safety and quality-related reports.
  • Evaluate health status through collection and assessment of health data.
  • Respond to adverse events in accordance with established protocol/guidelines.
  • Collect subjective and objective data and create an initial report of by submitting the data into the database.
  • Identify symptoms, concomitant medications, products and all other relevant medical information to ensure complete information is gathered for documentation.
  • Evaluate health status through collection and assessment of health data.

Qualifications

Skills:

Required
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Intermediate keyboarding
  • Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
  • Solid customer service skills with excellent empathy skills to diffuse potentially hostile situations
  • Team player and able to effectively communicate with all levels, up through executive management
  • Strong attention to detail/detail oriented and self motivated
  • Ability to sort, prioritize and manage high workload and critical issues
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and problem solve
  • Strong collaboration abilities
Preferred
  • Experience using database software applications
  • Knowledge of MedDRA or Argus systems
Experience:

Required
  • 1 year work experience in customer service or related industry
  • Basic proficiency in medical terminology
  • Customer service and/or patient interaction experience
Preferred
  • Work experience in a clinical or laboratory setting
  • 3+ years work experience as detailed above
Education:

Required
  • AA degree or technical degree in health sciences or related field
Preferred
  • Medical Assistant, CNA, or LPN with phone triage experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or related field
