Account Services leads the management of all retail advertising projects to ensure delivery on-time, on-budget, and on-strategy. The team is responsible for shepherding and expediting the development of thousands of retail advertising projects each year through the internal advertising ‘agency’ and outside advertising agency partners. The Account Service Director position leads Account Service in the management of several Business Units, to ensure that the Communications strategy is executed flawlessly in Advertising for that business.
1. Strategic Advertising thought leadership for the Account Service team and Business Partners. Develop and guide the Account Service and Business Partner teams in the development of effective Advertising solutions that are on strategy and deliver results for the business.
2. Develop strong ‘trusted advisor’ relationships with Business Partners. Build strong relationships with Business Partners and other partners across the company to impact and influence outcomes beneficial to the business. Be able to negotiate compromises, have difficult conversations, and manage up/across/down within and across teams in a positive and collaborative spirit.
3. Develop the Advertising Account Service team. Recruit, train, coach, and model ‘best in class’ behaviors, capabilities and CVS competencies to develop talent within Account Service team. Demonstrate leadership in identifying needs, planning, coordinating, and executing training and development of the Account Service team as a whole.
4. Seamless delivery of advertising work. Lead the collaborative development of retail advertising projects within the Account Service team, across Advertising functions, and with other internal and external resources to deliver work that is on-time, on-budget, and on-strategy. Apply ‘lessons learned’ and continuously improve the way that work is developed and delivered – champion Innovation in the execution of advertising. Allocate resources appropriately to projects, understanding work in the pipeline and anticipating needs and requests. Required Qualifications:
Must have significant Traditional Advertising and/or Marketing Experience (7-10 years in leadership role) o 7-10 years minimum experience as the Senior Account Lead for a reputable Ad Agency or Marketing Firm o Expert level advertising and marketing experience o Expert with brand development and positioning o Expert at developing, “selling” and executing integrated marketing/advertising programs Preferred Qualifications:
