We have an opportunity open for an Advertising Field Sales Director in St. Louis, MO.

We are looking for a self-motivated, results-driven person interested in a career of personal development and growth. A successful track record in sales/account management is required. Sales management experience is required. Experience in Advertising Sales and/or as Advertising Agency AE is ideal. Understanding of media options, strengths and weaknesses is desired.

This Field Sales Director position is responsible for attaining the company's objectives for short and long-range sales growth for the all point of sale (POS) clients and prospects based in an assigned area. This will be achieved through effective leadership of a sales team and the management of available resources.

Primary position responsibilities:
Recruit, select, train, develop and motivate an outside sales team toward increased productivity including growth of existing clients and gaining closure of prospects.

Nurture key client relations through a regular schedule of contracts, meetings, and follow-up.

Provide on-going development of assigned sales force through performance management, field coaching, and team building.

Establish and grow teamwork on cross functional teams and Branch Management teams to focus on servicing and growing existing / prospective accounts and aggressively pursuing new business.

Assign existing / prospective accounts and quotas to individual sales reps to ensure equity among reps and competent handling of clients / prospects.

Develops accurate sales forecasts and office budgets for current and future fiscal years.

Required Skills

Required Experience

5 + years of demonstrated management or team leadership skills (preferably in sales management)

8+ years of direct selling & prospecting experience (preferably selling advertising solutions)

Sound and seasoned knowledge of selling techniques.

Must have strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.

Highly developed client solution selling skills / targeting skills.

Strategic accounts planning.

Well developed PC skills.

Well developed administrative skills: -Time Management -Sales
