Your Opportunity - Valassis seeks a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our sales team. As an Advertising Sales Executive you will sell our portfolio of print and interactive digital products including behavioral - based display ads. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and a passion to run with the best. Although advertising experience is ideal, we are searching for talent, motivation, and values first and foremost.
This high level sales position is accountable for meeting and exceeding revenue objectives through prospecting new business and growing existing accounts. You will lead the acquisition of new mid-size to large business by combining our unique consumer insights, proprietary targeting platform and trusted media portfolio to develop integrated advertising campaigns that produce results for your clients.

5+ years of outside sales experience using a consultative, solution selling approach.
BA/BS in Business, Marketing or Communications preferred or equivalent experience
Social Media or digital media sales experience preferred
Candidates must be a tenacious hunter focused on acquiring and closing new mid to large size accounts.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interpret marketplace needs and translate them into products/services.
Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Internet applications.
