Position Overview:
Responsible for middle school and high school student advisement and organizing activities in the Talent Search program. Assists with the operational functions, identification and selection of program participants; provides educational, vocational and personal counseling to low income, potential first generation college students. Provides guidance, testing, referrals to help students reach their goals. Assists students completing applications for admissions and financial aid. Conducts progressive program outreach efforts and coordinates and presents academic and professional workshops. This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of one year related experience required.
Detail oriented, strong leadership skills, conflict resolution skills, effective customer service skills, good verbal and written communication skills, strong time management skills, and multitasking capabilities are all required.
Must have the ability to work with diverse populations and varying education levels, and the ability to research information for problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of student financial aid preferred.
Experience working with at-risk populations and teaching experience preferred.
