We have an excellent opportunity for an Advocacy Assistant in our Jamestown office.

Assistant will provide administrative support to one Regional Vice President and two Directors who oversee advocacy efforts for North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Will also be the staff liasion for vendors regarding building operations.

Responsibilities include: Organize, maintain, and track data. Monitor legislative process by reviewing and tracking legislation, committee hearings, and House of Representatives and Senate calendars. Handle meeting and event coordination. Perform general accounting/bookkeeping processes for billings, expense reports, donations, check requests, and other applicable financial transactions. Support customer relationship management and provide superior customer service to donors, volunteers, and staff. Manage general day to day administrative duties.

FT 8:30am - 5:00pm with an hour lunch - 37.5 hour work week.
Hiring salary is up to the low 30's.

Required Skills
  • Must have at least intermediate knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office 2007 or higher used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheets. Advanced knowledge and skill with these programs is preferred. These skills are subject to testing.
Required Experience
  • Minimum one year of related office experience.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Must be at least 18 years old
