The purpose of this position is to oversee and monitor after school and summer camps on site. This is accomplished by supervising staff to ensure performance of daily required duties and tasks; overseeing the safety of all enrolled participants; carrying out programs and activities set forth by the program coordinator; transporting participants; and performing other job duties related to the program.

Monitors program participation by leading activities; ensuring safety precautions are taken at all times; setting up and taking down activities; facilitating programs; and maintaining schedules.
Supervises site staff by ensuring all duties and responsibilities are met for the program and reporting any and all discipline issues to the program coordinator.
Provides customer service by meeting the needs of all participants as well as parents or guardians during programs; handling issues and concerns with parents or guardians when applicable; and referring all other issues to the program coordinator as needed.
Formal Education: Work requires the ability to read and understand written instructions, to understand simple processes and the routine operations of machines. Level of knowledge equivalent to graduation from high school. Experience: Under and including one year. Supervision: Work requires functioning as a lead worker performing essentially the same work as those directed, and includes overseeing work quality, training, instructing, and scheduling of work.
Human Collaboration Skills: Work may require providing advice to others outside direct reporting relationships on specific problems or general policies. Contacts may require the consideration of different points of view to reach agreement. Elements of persuasion may be necessary to gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas.
Freedom to Act: Receives Immediate Direction: This job title performs the duty assignment after receiving detailed instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results with little room for deviation. The immediate supervisor may, at times, provide close and constant review.
Technical Skills: Basic: Work requires the use of standard technical skills appropriate to the work environment of the organization. Fiscal Responsibility: This job title has no fiscal/budgetary responsibility. Reading: Intermediate - Ability to read papers, periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in high school up to college. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study. Math: Intermediate - Ability to deal with system of real numbers; practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios/proportions and measurement. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in high school up to college. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study. Writing: Intermediate - Ability to write reports, prepare business letters, expositions, and summaries with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in high school up to college. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study.
Special License and Certificates:
CPR and First Aid; Valid Driver's License required.
