Ag Loan Officer needed to work in our Polk, Burnett and Washburn, Wisconsin counties territory. Will provide agricultural and financial services to clients, while building strong relationships with these clients. Will combine your agricultural and business knowledge with an in-depth understanding of each client’s current financial position to provides innovative and workable alternatives to solve problems the client faces in ongoing agricultural operations. As the relationship builds between the client and the incumbent, the goal is for the client to regard the Financial Services Officer (FSO) as a valuable resource who provides new and worthwhile knowledge/insights into operating and managing their business more efficiently and effectively. As part of this activity, the incumbent markets AgStar’s financial credit services and other related services to clients and prospective clients based upon the individual’s need for these products.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, or related field; or equivalent work experience. 3-5 years of experience in the agribusiness/farming industry, or similar experience in agricultural credit or closely related field. Solid knowledge of AgStar’s “value-added” business and farming concepts. Solid knowledge of AgStar’s loan products and services, as well as credit operations. Solid knowledge of farm production methods, farm products, and farm business management/finance. Effective interpersonal, communication, client service and team skills. Effective problem solving and decision-making skills. Effective negotiating and effective selling skills. Computer skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.) and other related accounting applications.
