  • managing Scrum Team project from conceptualization through implementation
  • participating in frequent status meetings where the team members report to each other, commit to work and identify barriers
  • building and maintaining big visible charts to show progress and status (e.g. the standard thermometer chart to show progress towards a numerical goal)
  • implement designs guided by evolving customer requirements and third-party interface specifications
  • use Agile methods and practices to develop engaging, market relevant software solution
  • mentoring and coaching team members in the use of Scrum and XP
  • managing all aspects of the project life-cycle including but not limited to project planning, resource planning, release planning, vendor management, and scope management
  • maintain, communicate and escalate project critical path when appropriate
  • create and manage project plans that address project approaches, deliverables, change management, resource and budget requirements, engineering and implementation schedules

  • MUST have a solid background utilizing an "Agile" engineering approach to SW development. Examples of Agile SW development methods includes the following: SCRUM, Test Driven Development (TDD), Rapid Prototyping (Iterative) and Incremental approach to SW development, preferably 2+ years as a Scrum Master
  • strong understanding of both Agile and Traditional project management fundamentals and best practices
  • minimum of 5 years experience Project Management with software development projects
  • experience working in a "test-driven" manner (e.g. writing a document for a client where the client specifies acceptance criteria)
  • must be able to identify "best practices" for institutionalization within an Agile Software Development environment(primarily operations and maintenance work)
  • broad technical knowledge spanning applications, infrastructure, methodologies, and tools
  • detailed experience in working with business partners, technology teams and customers in defining requirements and managing deliveries
  • exceptional listening and communication skills with a strong ability to communicate business problems, alternatives and project strategy to a project team and customer groups
  • must be facilitative, objective and team-oriented
  • contract negotiation and vendor management experience is a PLUS
  • experience with risk management and associated risk models is a PLUS
  • Certified Scrum Master or Scrum Practitioner is a PLUS
  • MUST be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be willing to embrace change
  • must have excellent written and oral communication skills and strong presentation skills
  • minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems and seven to ten years experience
