Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or agricultural economics, or a closely related field.
Two years of work experience promoting or marketing agricultural products.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Broad knowledge of North Dakota agriculture commodities.
Work experience writing, designing and preparing marketing materials such as newsletters, brochures, pamphlets, etc.
Work experience presenting information to a group.
Work experience building and maintaining working relationships with a variety of people such as producers, agribusinesses, boards, associations, and councils.
Work experience implementing digital media such as social media, websites, e-newsletters, and/or mobile marketing to promote or market a product or service.
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and InDesign.

Summary of Work:
Write and edit communications for the Department.
Assist with marketing activities of the Pride of Dakota Program.
Represent the Department at numerous commodity council meetings.
Market and promote the Department’s programs and ND ag commodities and products at assigned industry events.
Coordinate the marketing activities of the Organics Program.
Assist in updating NDDA’s web site.
Utilize a variety of media tools such as presentations, web sites, print, video, and social media to communicate information regarding updates, activities, and programs.
Develop and make recommendations on projects, programs, and legislation to the Division Director, Deputy, and Commissioner that would assist in establishing and enhancing various agriculture industries or enterprises.
Position includes travel in and out of state travel including some evenings and weekends.
