Ag Link is a multi location cooperative involved in Agronomy, Fuel, Hardware, and Convenience stores. We are a progressive agricultural supply cooperative and are searching for a qualified person to fill our Agronomy Sales position at our Reardan, WA Agronomy Branch. Located 25 miles West of Spokane, WAThe Ideal candidate will:Have a strong work ethic, be a self starter, and a team playerWill have experience in the Agronomy field, working with growers on a daily basis.Take and interpret soil and tissue tests, and make fertilizer recommendationsScout fields and use BMP for crop protection recommendations Spend the majority of time in the field working with existing accounts, and developing new accounts.Have the flexibility to work extended hours as needing including weekends during busy seasons and in inclement weatherCurrently possess or be willing to obtain WSDA Consultants / Dealer Manager License, Certified Crop Advisor, Class A CDL with Hazmat Have mechanical ability & willingness to haul fertilizer, crop production products & equipmentQualifications:Minimum of an AA degree in agriculture or equivalent experience.Excellent interpersonal & time management skills2-4 years of experience in agriculture/sales requiredAgricultural/Farm background a plus Experience with small grain production, and farming practicesWSDA Consultants & Dealer Manager License or attainableGood computer skillsExcellent customer service skillsDuties / Responsibilities:Pull soil and tissue testDaily interaction with growersBuild trust relationships with customersScout fields on a regular basis, looking for weeds, insects, diseaseAssist with test plot workWork with electronic filed scouting softwareOccasionally may deliver fertilizer, crop protection productsOccasionally may operate custom field sprayerInteract with aerial applicatorsAlways act in professional manner for a good reflection on the companyDesired Qualifications: Knowledge of GIS, GPS & guidance applications relating to agricultureKnowledge of alternate crops.
