Our Rosemount, MN refinery is adding an Air Permitting Engineer to their Environmental group. As the Air Permitting Engineer, you will review proposed refinery maintenance and small capital projects and communicate environmental requirements to project managers. Also you will obtain refinery air permits to advance refinery projects and initiatives and ensure continued permitting compliance. This position reports to the Air Permitting Compliance System Owner.
The Air Permitting Engineer will:
Learn & understand Minnesota and federal air permitting requirements
Gain an understanding of air, water and waste compliance requirements and apply this knowledge to proposed refinery maintenance and small capital projects
Support the refinery environmental change management process known as the triggers management system
Evaluate projects for permit and regulatory applicability
Document and advise refinery project teams on the air, water and waste environmental compliance requirements for refinery projects
Attend project team design meetings to answer questions related to environmental requirements
Draft and submit refinery air permits to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency
Develop or advance your knowledge of refinery processes
Have strong verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills
Demonstrate critical thinking & MBM (Market Based Management) principles
2 or more years of air permitting, air compliance work experience,or refinery process engineering support.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Environmental Field
