As an Air Permitting Specialist, you will be a member of a very technically diverse Site Environmental Team to support the site's on-going compliance initiatives. This role will focus on both base compliance permitting needs as well as working closely with the Site Ventures Team to evaluate permitting requirements and develop permitting strategies for proposed projects. This position will require strong technical capabilities, a strong air program background with a focus on air permitting, and the ability to work as a project manager, which requires a high level of interaction and collaboration with team members outside of the Environmental Team.
3+ years of state and federal air permitting experience in a petrochemical or refining environment
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences or Environmental Field
This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identification Credentialing rule or "TWIC" and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge, allowing for unescorted access to the facility within a specific time period
This role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.
5+ years of state and federal air permitting experience in a petrochemical or refining environment
Experience in Texas air permitting programs with TCEQ
Experience with Title V, NSR, PSD and GHG permitting
Experience in capital project permitting support
Physical ability to work around and on industrial equipment, including frequent climbing of stairs and ladders
Willingness to work around dust, chemicals and other substances
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots and hearing protection)
