Detailed Position Description:|
The Aircraft Maintenance Training Instructor and Courseware Developer (MTI/CD) shall develop courseware to include Instructor-Led Courseware, Computer-Hosted Training (CHT) Courseware, On-The-Job Training (OJT) and user guides as needed in support of contract requirements. The MTI/CD will be responsible to maintain control documents, instructional materials, evaluation materials, and supporting documentation which make up an instructional system. Examples are: course charts, course training standards, plan of instruction, instructional presentations, training manuals, training simulation programs, student exercises, product/process checklists, written tests, correspondence, and decision documentation. The MTI/CD shall collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as necessary and at the direction of the Program Manager in support of Customer requirements. The MTI/CD shall have a working knowledge of USAF Instructional Systems Development (ISD) requirements, have the ability to create original work in collaboration with Government Subject Matter Experts, and maintain compliance with applicable copyright laws and necessary licensing as part of the courseware development process. The MTI/CD shall provide courseware development support including new courseware, revision and updates when necessary in support of USAF requirements. Courseware development shall include the development and modification of new courseware and revision or update of existing courseware.
Prepare classroom for instruction.
Issue lesson-related student materials.
Perform academic instruction as required by the applicable syllabi or training plans.
Monitor self-paced and computer-based instruction and provide academic instruction as required.
Manage an organized classroom learning environment.
Plan and prepare courseware and conduct classroom training.
Develop ISD compliant courseware.
MTI/CD employees shall be knowledgeable in: Courseware Development; Instructional Technologies-Analysis and Selection, Navigational Training Development, Functional /Navigational Training Development, Advanced Functional Training Development, IAW AFMCMAN 21-143.
MTI/CD candidates must have research skills to review all applicable regulations on a regular basis for any changes or revisions, to ensure that the latest information is being taught. MTI/CD candidates must be responsible for Records Management Program documentation IAW Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-322.
Utilize the Courseware Management Database to record project status on courseware development efforts, Tri-annual Reviews and Courseware Revisions.
Instructors shall be knowledgeable in Tinker AFB's Maintenance Wing's mission, processes and policies. Instructors shall possess three years of verifiable experience (within the past five years) working directly with the systems to be trained, i.e. G005M, G337, G004L, D043A, G019C, E046B, G097 and DMAPS suite of systems, and possess experience in the fields to be trained.
All instructors must also meet one of the following criteria:
A minimum of one year experience as an adult education instructor/trainer/courseware developer;
A minimum of 12 semester hours college credit in education/training;
Industry recognized training certificate, i.e. American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) Certification; or
A minimum of 120 hours training in instruction techniques, delivery methods, adult learning theory, etc.
Clearance Level: all persons shall complete a successful National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI), FBI Fingerprints with favorable results, and civilian Local Files Check (LFC) – prior to employment.
Location: Tinker Air Force Base, OC-ALC, Oklahoma City, OK.
Travel: Some occasional travel may be required to other ALC's in support of Contract requirements.
