Manage trading risk and market exposure within pre-defined limits set by the firm. Design, implement, and monitor proprietary algorithmic trading strategies in various product classes. Liaise with proprietary traders, software engineers, and analysts to capitalize on current markets and future trading opportunities. Report trading activities on a regular basis to senior management personnel.
Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Business Administration, Physics or in a related field, along with 5 years of experience in the algorithmic trading industry. Alternatively, applicant may possess a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Business Administration, Physics or in a related field, along with 2 years of experience in the algorithmic trading industry.
Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience in the following: 1.) Designing, implementing and monitoring algorithmic trading strategies; 2.) Data mining; 3.) Statistical analysis of past data and identifying abnormalities or interesting behaviors; 4.) Finding an appropriate statistical model that fits past data and identifying appropriate parameters for the model; 5.) Coding and simulation testing in C++ and R; and 6.) Adjusting the parameters of trading strategies as market conditions change.
