The Allocation Analyst will be responsible for ensuring stores are given the appropriate levels of merchandise to achieve balanced stock levels and optimal sales.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Compile concise and accurate data for the merchant and senior leadership team.
Works within the guidelines for ensuring merchandise is sent to stores using appropriate method to maximize sales and inventory turnover.
Assist in identifying fast/slow turning stores at a division or class group level on a weekly basis for further review/adjustment.
Ensure assigned allocations are completed in a timely manner to maintain proper flow in the distribution centers.
Work within the company’s protocol of transferring goods to balance store inventories.
Continual communication between Rebuyers, Merchants, Planners, distribution centers and vendors to insure movement of product.
Knowledge & Skills:
2 years experience in a related business fields such as; Marketing, Merchandising and/or Inventory/Logistic management is highly preferred.
Must have above average mathematical, analytical and communication skills.
High level of organizational skills accompanied by high sense of follow-through.
Must have strong analytical skills.
Extensive data entry experience is required. Ability to work with and analyze data is required including creating and developing spreadsheets.
General computer knowledge ( Excel experience required ).
Ability to communicate clearly within all levels of the organization.
Excellent time management skills.
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Marketing, with a specialization in merchandising, preferred.
