Franklin University, located in Columbus, Ohio is accepting applications for an Alumni Engagement Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for the planning and implementation of communications, programs, activities and projects that strategically and meaningfully engage with the university’s 38,000 plus alumni, as well as senior-level students. Expectations center around strengthening communications, engagement activities and programs, to dramatically increase alumni involvement, engagement and connectedness to the University, to promote and encourage alumni investments of “time, talent and treasure” in their alma mater, and provide tangible benefits to alumni and current students. Due to the diversity and range of geographic locations of the alumni, the strategy for connecting with this constituent base will need to include proactive use of face to face and virtual tools, including but not limited to physical and virtual events facilitation, highly active social media management, and ‘push/pull’ marketing strategies.

The Alumni Engagement Coordinator will report to and work in full strategic and operational collaboration with the Director of Alumni Relations & Development, to assure engagement and fundraising goals are met or exceeded, including assisting with prospecting for and identifying potential new alumni donors or opportunities to increase current alumni donor giving levels, securing commitments, and appropriately recognizing and stewarding alumni donors.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three to five years of related sales, marketing, development, fundraising and/or constituent relations experience as well as successful experience utilizing social media for building active, engaging constituent relationships. A Bachelor’s Degree is required (Master’s Degree preferred). The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work with a wide variety of constituent groups and knowledge of development systems and procedures. The ability to travel occasionally is also required.
