To meet the growing demand for AWS Services around the globe, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. If you have previous programming experience and can translate highly technical content into effective, global technical learning solutions, we are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Training Team as a Technical Curriculum Developer. In this role, you will work closely with technical subject matter experts to actively develop and maintain technical content, curricula, technical labs and certification paths for Solutions Architects, Systems Operations, Developers and Technical Sales professionals across internal, partner and customer channels. Successful candidates will have a recent programming background, knowledge of instructional design, core AWS technologies and development languages, and the ability to translate technical content into effective learning solutions.

Develop courseware for Amazon Web Services products and services for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Perform needs analysis, scope projects, and evaluate existing documentation to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the learning needs of each audiences across multiple global locations
Develop and maintain technical training and certification courseware for multiple technical job roles, including Solutions Architects, Systems Operations, Developers and Technical Sales
Develop sample code to use in labs that is designed to demonstrate AWS functionality and key concepts
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional AWS teams, subject matter experts (SMEs) and others to support AWS and department initiatives
Adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
Prioritize, manage and complete projects with tight deadlines

Basic Qualifications

BA / BS (Computer Science or related)
3-5 years of experience in programming, systems architecture, systems administration or similar experience

Deep experience in one or more of the following:
Software design or development

Infrastructure architecture

Content distribution
Database architecture
IP Networking
IT Security
Systems Operations Working knowledge of development methodologies and more than of the following languages:
Ruby on Rails

Ability to collaborating with highly technical subject matter experts and managers to develop training content and curricula
Excellent communication, writing and editing skills for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development, including effectively explaining technical topics to novice or non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with, and strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services' core technologies
Professional experience architecting or developoing systems built with Amazon Web Services
Experience developing training for technical audiences
Excellent coordination, project management, and organization skills
Experience in a major corporate training environment working on instructional design assignments across multiple teams or groups a plus
