Under the general direction of the Director of Organizational Development and Community Health Education the American Heart Association Instructor provides course curriculum designed by the American Heart Association to PCRMC employees and community organizations as required/requested; also responsible for organizing and providing new instructor training/mentoring. Facilitates other training and educations sessions as assigned. Provides supportive services to promote the overall function of Educational Services.

Education: High School Graduate, or equivalent.

Experience: 2 years experience instructing AHA courses required. At least one year of experience in clinical environment. Must be computer literate.

Licensure, Registration, Certification: American Heart Association course director according to AHA guidelines for ACLS and PALS. Valid Missouri Drivers license.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Considerable mental concentration required to complete duties. Diverse working conditions throughout the community. Sitting or transporting self throughout facility and community 90% of time. Lifting required.

Working Conditions: Potential exposure to infectious disease. Slight possibility of exposure to hostile persons. Driving to variety of locations. Frequent auditory distractions.
