Shopzilla is hiring an Analyst for our Content Operations team. The mission of this team is to organize the content of our shopping properties - The ultimate goal being to ensure our visitor's experience of the Shopzilla sites are as easy and enjoyable as possible. Own an Inventory Operations process and take responsibility for: achieving goals, creating reports, interacting with business and engineering, and resolving problems related to that process

Use discrete process knowledge, SQL, Excel, and scripting to collect and analyze data with a specific business goal in mind

Create reporting and analysis that is specific to a business need and provides meaningful insights to stakeholders

Based on analysis, articulate data findings and recommendations to teams throughout the organization

Responsible for the regular delivery, data accuracy, and ad hoc follow up investigations for all owned reports

Demonstrate proficiency in several Inventory processes

Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur

Provide support to teammates who are using your reports, scripts, or processes.

Train associate analysts on the Inventory Operations Team

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:
2+ years of analyst or ecommerce experience preferred

Advanced SQL and excel skills incorporating statistical functions and pivot table

Experience with statistical analysis or related coursework

Programming experience in areas such as database reading/writing, web crawling, or creating user interfaces

Familiarity with Python and/or Perl strongly preferred

Familiar with technical concepts like database structure, web services, regular expressions, FTP, and I/O

Required Professional Skills:
Ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, team environment

A commitment to quality, including strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Bachelor’s degree in related area, or equivalent professional experience required
