Primary Purpose

This Senior Analyst Position is for full implementation of EDI/EAI projects and development. This person would work with both internal and external customers for requirements gathering, project planning, technical design, requesting resources, business process or data flow, create maps and programs required, testing, documentation of new process, implementation and training of support personnel for go-live support. Require through understanding of integration process utilizing the IBM B2B SI application with working knowledge of UNIX and Mainframe platforms.

Major Responsibilities

Implements new trading partners (TP) typically using ANSI X-12, OAGIs XML or other formats for complex projects, or with a large number of integration points.

Participates in large IT projects - contributing in planning and developing technical and architectural strategies

Provides Production technical support – investigating and resolving highly complex EDI/SI issues

Support external TP’s and internal users

Maintains EDI/EAI Environment – creating business processes and workflows

Subject matter expert - coaches and train business users and other IT teams on new processes

Defines all task in assigned project, estimating duration and defining dependencies and skills needed to complete task

Understands and demonstrates United Stationers' Core Values.

Qualifications

Skills/Knowledge Required

Extensive skills in the IBM B2B Sterling Integration application as the primary EDI/XML tool

Knowledge and coding experience with business process modeling

Strong PC skills with MS Windows, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, Etc

Excellent Communication protocols like FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, AS2, sFTP and PGP are required

IBM Sterling Commerce’s Connect Enterprise and IBM Gentran software is a plus

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience

Minimum of 10 years experience in an IT environment, 5 plus years preferred in IBM B2B Sterling Integrator

Experience coding and implementing XML and XSLT programming

Working successfully in a team environment

Experience with UNIX or AIX is a plus

Previous experience developing in a distributed programming environment is a plus
