Princess Cruises – We are currently seeking an Environmental Operations Analyst with finance experience. You will support the Environmental Operations team in our corporate office in Santa Clarita, CA (north of Los Angeles).

You will work with the team to create an annual budget, adjust monthly forecast and manage actual invoicing and accrual for Princess Cruise Lines and Carnival Australia.

Develops and monitors the annual fleet waste off-load budget.
Monitors itinerary changes, deviations to waste off-load plan and regulation changes for impact to the budget and forecast.
Confirms and verifies invoice totals, either with Port Agencies or directly contracted vendors, to confirm actual amounts agree with published and/or contracted rates.
Updates monthly forecast to reflect anticipated tariff changes or operational requirements such as fleet wide projects.
Researches major variances and provides explanations to senior management.
Ensures timely remittance of invoices.
Maintains all records of Environmental Service forms and documentation for audit purposes.
Provides month end variance analysis in coordination with Manager.
Liaises with Carnival Global Source to communicate contracted pricing.
Analyzes tariff management for best value on itinerary level.
Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance or related work experience.
Minimum of 4 years finance experience in progressively responsible positions.
Prior forecasting and budgeting experience. Demonstrated analytical ability.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
Strong communication skills, both verbal as well as written.
Ability to work after normal business hours if necessary.
Working knowledge in Oracle, Cognos, Business Objects and Lotus Notes.
